- Yoga accessory:
It is not a compulsion as many retreats provide with sufficient accessory and mats. But if you wish to carry your own you can. You can also carry additional accessory like belts, cushions and bolsters for more comfort during your asana practices. Do not forget to carry your face towels!

2. Clothing:
Of course! You wouldn’t go without it I know! But the point here is the kind of clothes you must carry on this trip. You must carry comfortable clothing with breathable fabric. Depending on the location of your retreat you can decide whether to take warm clothes or beach wear. Don’t forget to carry casual clothes along with your yoga wear.
I know it is obvious but you must carry the following:
- Underwear (One for each day and extra since it’s always better)
- Sports bra
- Socks
- Bathing suits

4. Water Bottle:
Retreats often provide plastic water bottles which may be charged. So carrying your own comes handy. Also, that way you can save the environment and also save some money.
5. Healthy snacks for travel:
Well, most retreats are inclusive of food and accommodation but it is always to have some extra if you are hungry. Dry fruits, granola bars, trail mix and nuts are a few healthy options for your munchies.

6. Sun protect:
Weather sunny or not you must always have a sunscreen with a good amount of SPF to protect your skin from rashes and sunburns. The SPF may vary depending upon the location of your retreat but it is a must have.
7. Toiletries:
If you are icky and particular like I am, you would want to carry your own toiletries. Carry your shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush and deodorants. These things come handy especially if you are doing yoga outside in the sun.

It is important and necessary to carry your identification cards. Not for the sole purpose of the retreat but since you will be travelling it is a must have.
9. Travel adapters:
It is important to carry portable travel adapters as switch boards may differ in different countries. A travel adapter always comes handy and of use.
10. Open mind:
This is the most important thing you should carry when you visit a yoga retreat. Even if you forget everything but show up in the retreat with an open mind you will attain all the benefits.
